Our Mission

Finding Discipleship, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed in November 2010 to train God's people. We do this through teaching, mentoring, and one-on-one discipleship. In our case, 'we' refers to Ron Braley, Finding Discipleship's Board of Directors, and our partners.

Ron Braley (Finding Discipleship's founder, trainer, and pastor) is Ordained by the International Ministerial Foundation and an authorized First Steps discipleship trainer. He has published one book and is about to publish several others for the purpose of training the Saints. You can learn more about him and his work here.

Finding Discipleship's Board of Directors consists of Joanne Braley (the organization's secretary), Ron Almberg, and Tiffany Hovland (the organization's financial advisor). Together, they provide a wealth of biblical knowledge, godly wisdom, and accountability.

Additionally, our partners provide oversight, prayer, and financial support without which we couldn't fulfill our mission. Please contact us if you'd like to partner with Finding Discipleship too!

Vision: To equip multiple Christian organizations and many individuals for godly behavior and spiritual growth.

Teaching, mentoring, and discipleship are necessary for building faith and being known by God, which is essential for eternal life and salvation from His coming judgment. Yet, we find that these things are typically missing from today's Christian culture. Our desire is to fill the gap left by this lack of discipleship and mentoring.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. --Matthew 28:29-20.
... for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. --Ephesians 4:12-16.
But if anyone loves God, he is known by Him. --1Corinthians 8:3.
But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God ... --Galatians 4:9.

Mission: To equip believers who know of God to become followers known by Him.

Our main focus is on equipping believers to become followers of God's ways. It's a matter of life and death! Why?

Believing that Jesus obediently died on our behalf as the only sinless human and that our Creator brought Him back to life is a good first step. However, belief without corresponding obedience through actionable love is useless to God and humankind. Belief without a complete devotion to God and His authority is empty and deadly as many including God's rebellious angels will discover at the end of this era (e.g. James 2:19-21).

Therefore, Finding Discipleship is determined to equip believers to become devoted followers through these activities:

  • Encouraging and training followers to read Scripture and pray regularly.

  • Providing training materials that guide the reader through scriptural study without pushing man's wisdom or private interpretation.

  • Conducting seminars and speaking engagements. These include:

    • Teaching about the end of the age

    • Training believers to become followers in a single 'crash' course

    • Training discipleship trainers, disciple-makers, and small group leaders to produce followers and reproduce godly behavior

  • Marriage mentoring for couples, coming alongside them to successfully navigate the marriage relationship.

  • Engaging in one-on-one discipleship relationships.
